Welcome to Goldberry Grove, a farm rooted in passion, tradition, and a deep respect for the land. Founded by Abigail and Josh Dunbar, our journey began with a simple seed—both literal and metaphorical. Inspired by a love for chestnuts and a commitment to sustainable farming, we’ve built Goldberry Grove as a place where nature thrives and communities connect.

At the heart of our farm is the chestnut, a golden brown seed that symbolizes resilience, nourishment, and heritage. Chestnuts hold a special place in our hearts, especially for Abigail, whose mother’s love for this humble nut inspired us to make it the cornerstone of our work. For us, growing chestnuts is about more than agriculture; it’s about honoring family traditions and creating a lasting legacy.

But Goldberry Grove is more than chestnuts. Guided by regenerative agriculture and JADAM principles, we’ve created a farm that harmonizes with nature. These practices allow us to cultivate healthy soil, nurture biodiversity, and reduce our environmental footprint—all while producing delicious, nutritious food.

In addition to chestnuts, we’re growing a thriving agroforestry system that includes hazelnuts, mushrooms, elderberries, and pears. Each crop plays a vital role in the ecosystem, supporting both the land and our mission to offer diverse, sustainable harvests.
